“The importance of global trade to the DFW region is immeasurable; this study is so impressive that it will change the way international site locators view this region.”
--Ambassador Jim Oberwetter, President of the Dallas Regional Chamber and Former Ambassador of the U.S. to Saudi Arabia (2004-2006)
Global DFW is an introductory research project designed to help decision-makers, locally and beyond, have the information they need to help ensure continued success for the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) economy.
Dallas Regional Chamber staff, working under the direction of the Economists Council, has completed the first phase of this investigation benchmarking DFW against 20 other metro areas in Asia, Australia, Europe and the Americas in five key areas of global competitiveness: Talent, Access, Resources, Business Climate and Quality of Life.
Ambassador James Oberwetter, president at the Dallas Regional Chamber, will join the World Affairs Council, Fort Worth Chamber and the Dallas Regional Chamber for a business breakfast to talk about this study and how we can better understand how our region compares to others around the world.
