Global Classroom

ISDs that would like to hold smaller portions of this training led by WAC staff at NO COST have a few options:

1. A one-hour introduction to culture using Peace Corps training materials. This will help teachers “See” the American culture and better understand other cultures in their classes.
2. A one-hour introduction to the need for global competency in the 21st century and all the free programs WAC provides to address this need.
3. A one-DAY workshop that is a MINI- version of the three day Global Classroom. (No food provided)

US Dept. of Education statement:
In today’s globalized world, an effective domestic education agenda must address global needs and trends and aim to develop a globally competent citizenry. It is no longer enough to focus solely on ensuring that students have essential reading, writing, mathematics, and science skills.
