2014 Trip to Morrocco
Date: July 29 to August 9, 2014
Modern Morocco with all its richness and complexities, as well Morocco’s centuries old history and cultural traditions are often unknown to Americans. To address this gap, the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth and the American-Moroccan Alliance have developed a three-part program on Morocco, with a special emphasis on Moroccan culture, to bring some much-needed context to the American public and, particularly, to American students and teachers.
Travel is available to 10 educators selected from 6th-12th grade and administration.
Hotels, food, buses, tours, international flight (and possibly domestic flight to NYC) would be covered for participants.
$500 would be expected from each participant to cover US program costs and travel insurance. Plus, travelers would be responsible for their passport and visa.
Travelers selected would be announced on May 17 at a Portrait of Morocco Program at WAC offices in Dallas.
