The Biden administration has signaled its priorities by climate change priorities by appointing John Kerry as global climate envoy and by directing that the U.S. prepare to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord. Sherri Goodman, senior fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center and the senior strategist at the Center for Climate and Security, is an expert on climate policy and has testified in Congress before numerous committees about the national security threats of climate and energy.

In addition to her affiliation with the Woodrow Wilson Center, Sherri Goodman is secretary general of the International Military Council on Climate & Security. She was the first deputy undersecretary of defense for environmental security (1993-2001) and served on the staff of the Senate Armed Services Committee. Goodman graduated from Amherst College, holds a law degree from Harvard Law School and a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University.

Mike Anderson is senior vice president of external affairs, government relations and security at Kosmos Energy. Anderson held several key positions within the British government, including chief of staff to two chiefs of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). From 2007 to 2009, Anderson was the first director general for climate change in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. He is a graduate of Trinity College, Cambridge.
