Heart of DFW: Community and Leadership - Canceled
with president & CEO of the Arlington Museum of Art Dr. Chris Hightower and Arlington Mayor Jim Ross

Wednesday, February 8, 2023 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Heart of DFW Community and Leadership

This event has been postponed until further notice.

The Arlington Museum of Arts has hosted numerous traveling exhibitions since its foundation in 1952. From Salvador Dali, Milton H. Greene’s photographs of Marilyn Monroe to edible art sculptures and film costumes from Pirates of the Caribbean and Phantom of the Opera, the museum continues to evolve in the community. Last year it received the People’s Choice award for North Texas Giving Day. Soon it will have a new home in Arlington’s “Wellspring on Main” project. Join museum President & CEO Chris Hightower and Arlington Mayor Jim Ross for a conversation about the economic impact of the arts which has led to the success of the AMA and the museum’s place in the City’s plan to “bridge the historic gap between town and gown.” The museum is next door to the University of Texas at Arlington, which has the fourth largest percentage of international students in Texas. This event is complimentary for Global Forum members.
