Raphael “Ralph” Grau is the Deputy Manager for the International Space Station Program’s External Integration Office.

A Baltimore, Maryland, native, Grau received a thoroughly “Texan” education, first receiving his B.S. in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University, followed by his MBA from the University of Houston.

Since 1990, Grau has held various engineering and management roles with the International Space Station (ISS) program, earning him a Director’s Commendation, Group Space Flight Awareness Award and Silver Snoopy Award (the Astronaut Corp’s highest honor), as well as recognition as a Manned Flight Awareness Honoree, NASA’s highest safety honor.

In his current role, Grau is responsible for relationship management and negotiations with Space Station international partners, agencies and countries, external and internal communications about the ISS program, export control and international partner’s physical and virtual access to NASA assets.

We hope you will join us on November 3, for a joint Global Forum & Meridian event on the International Space Station & NASA’s International Affiliates. With Grau’s wealth of experience, it’s sure to be out of this world!
