SOLD OUT - Erin Meyer - The Culture Map: Breaking Through the Invisible Boundaries of Global Business
Professor and Program Director, INSEAD

Tuesday, August 12, 2014 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Erin Meyer

To navigate the maze that is the world, perhaps you need some global cartography -- especially in business -- to help you dodge the road hazards of cultural misunderstanding. Erin Meyer, a professor and program director at the worldwide graduate business school INSEAD, has written just such a helpful book, The Culture Map: Breaking Through the Invisible Boundaries of Global Business. It addresses cultural complications, nuances and triumphs over confusion. Professor Meyer has lived and worked in Africa and Europe, teaching thousands of executives to work more effectively across cultural differences and has spent 13 years in France where she directs two of INSEAD senior executive programs, Managing Global Virtual Teams and Management Skills for International Business.

Meyer's work has been published in many places, including on the Harvard Business Review Blog Network where she authored an entertaining piece titled "How To Say 'This Is Crap' In Different Cultures." The author will discuss her book at a Council event on Tuesday, August 12 -- the 6:30 PM reception and 7 PM program and book-signing at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel will be followed by a special Contributors' Circle Dinner. To enjoy dinner with the author, elevate your membership to the Contributors' Circle level.
