Great conversation. Great fun. Great venue on a great trail. What a great idea!
A free social for members of the council! We're calling it "An Evening on the Katy Trail With the Council & the Consuls."
That's right! Guests at the Council's Thursday, June 11, member social will enjoy a very special evening mingling with not only old friends and familiar faces, but with new members and consuls from other nations.
Our venue for the social is the Company Café on the Katy Trail. Management of the Company Café, founded in Dallas in 2011, declares, "We're passionate about serving great-tasting comfort food with a healthy twist."
The combination of comfort food, congenial Consuls and new and old friends should prove to be a highlight of the Council's entertaining member socials.
FYI: The Katy Trail is the former route of the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad, known as "The Katy." The railroad came to the Lone Star State in 1872 with the mission of connecting Texas to the world outside the state - yes, a mission similar to that of the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth.
