This yearly event is designed to give Junior WAC high school students a wide perspective on the global landscape including international careers, what they entail and how to pursue their desired career path.
Participating high schools students hear from selected representatives and experts on topics such as:
- International professions
- College degrees
- Study abroad opportunities
- The local impact of global trends
- Cultural “do’s and taboos”
- International competitiveness
All students hear about international protocol, teaching abroad, internationally focused degrees, media, and internships. From there, students choose to attend four out of eight break-out sessions featuring professionals in international:
- Business
- Defense
- Intelligence
- Diplomacy
- Humanitarian service
- Engineering
- Finance
- Law
In addition, several organizations have information booths at the event to provide interested students with more specific advice. Schools may register up to 30 Junior WAC students and bus assistance is available. Please bring sack lunch.
