From the Alta Farmers Market rooftop on Wednesday, December 14, Meridians will be able to see holiday-style downtown Dallas while they're helping North Texas high school students see the future.
Join us for this first-time meeting of Council generations. Our 2016 Meridian Rooftop Champagne Party & Fundraiser benefits the Council's Junior World Affairs Councils, an integral part of our multi-faceted Global Young Leaders international education initiative. You'll be able to donate in person on the rooftop or online here.
What you give impacts lives of young people who are learning that pursuit of education is not bound by classroom walls. Your support creates a foundation for international ambition and understanding in young minds as they prepare to leave campus and enter the fiercely competitive world of the 21st century.
To help with understanding the importance of your donations, JWAC members will present brief discussions of how the program has positively impacted them.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and the JWAC presentations are scheduled for 7 p.m. Tickets to the Rooftop event are $15 for Council members and guests. You get one glass of champagne – the JWAC students get a sparkling non-alcoholic beverage. And there'll be holiday treats, desserts, conversation and, as is the Meridian style, lots of smart, good-time laughter.
Parking is limited at the Alta Farmers Market Apartment Complex, 1110 S. Cesar Chavez Blvd., so an Uber ride might be the best way to arrive.
