Global Classroom Educator workshop

The Global Classroom Workshop is a three-day intensive educator training which aims to provide a global component to current curriculum. Participants will hear from a variety of presenters who represent educational organizations that provide complimentary international resources to educators.

Teachers will learn about National Geographic lessons, dozens of education websites, U.S. Diplomacy Center simulations, Asia Society materials and much more! In today’s globalized world, an effective domestic education agenda must address global needs and trends and aim to develop a globally competent citizenry. It is no longer enough to focus solely on ensuring that students have essential reading, writing, mathematics, and science skills.

Seating for 100 teachers. Open to 3rd-12th-grade teachers of all subjects who want to infuse global elements into their curriculum. The July event provides PD credit, two ethnic meals and materials. $25 for Educator(s).
