Silicon Valley and the Pentagon have a long, complicated history – one that is entering a new and uncertain phase. As private tech companies take on a larger role in national security, the balance of power between Washington and Silicon Valley is shifting in ways that raise new questions about accountability, influence, and the future of American defense policy.
Sharon Weinberger, national security journalist and author of the new book Valley of Death: How Big Tech is Fueling the Future of War, will discuss this evolving relationship and what it means for U.S. national security going forward.
