Understanding Cuba: Realities, Resistance, and Reform

This event is open to all and complimentary for Global Forum Members.
Cuba’s headlines often diverge sharply from life on the ground. Rolling blackouts and mounting economic pressure have reshaped daily life for millions of Cubans, even as official narratives tell a different story.
Join us for breakfast with John Suarez, Executive Director of the Center for a Free Cuba, who will offer a firsthand look at the state of Cuba’s human rights landscape, the resilience of its communities through decades of hardship, and the opportunities for reform. Suarez will speak to the gap between what’s reported abroad and what’s actually unfolding on the island – and what the future may look like for Cuba.
