Tensions in the Pacific are on the rise: an ongoing China trade war, political crisis in Hong Kong, North Korea’s nuclear ambitions, and a feud between U.S. allies Japan and South Korea. Gen. Charles Q. Brown is a command pilot with more than 2,900 flying hours, including 130 combat hours. He has previously served as Deputy Director, Operations Directorate, U.S. Central Command.
