CIA Officer. FBI Special Agent. High school history teacher. Which one of these three does not belong? None of them – they are each a part of the career of Tracy Walder. Her new autobiography, “The Unexpected Spy,” details the unique story of a USC history major and sorority girl who hunted for weapons of mass destruction as a spy for the CIA in Europe and the Middle East and worked in counterintelligence as a Special Agent at the FBI’s Los Angeles field office. Walder taught history and national security for ten years at The Hockaday School in Dallas and is now on the Board of Directors for Girl Security, a nonprofit, non-partisan group that brings national security curriculum to girls in high school throughout the U.S.
