Fred Burton, a former counterterrorism agent with the U.S. State Department from 1985 to 1999 and current Vice President of Intelligence and Counterterrorism at the largest global private intelligence company, Stratfor, is one of the world's foremost experts on security, terrorists and terrorist organizations. His latest book, Beirut Rules, describes the abduction, torture, and murder of CIA Station Chief William Buckley at the hands of Hezbollah terrorists following the bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut. 

Join us for a private dinner with Fred Burton on March 5th to learn how the relentless search for Buckley in the wake of his kidnapping ignited a war against terror that continues to shape the Middle East to this day. 

The Burton Council program begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Hotel Crescent Court. Our Meridian dinner with the author follows at 8:15 p.m. at Baboush in West Village.
