Leave a Legacy

We invite you to leave a legacy that will continue the mission work of our founders into perpetuity. Recognizing all of the important decisions that go into such careful gift planning we want to thank our donors who support our work through a bequest or planned gift.

The 1951 Society recognizes our legacy donors who have made a lifetime investment that will carry on for generations. Please notify us of a bequest or other deferred gift to be eligible for membership in the 1951 Society. Members will receive special recognition on our website, annual report and will be included in invitations for special briefings and events.

Ways To Leave A Legacy

  • Will or Living Trust: Provide a lasting legacy to be remembered and lesson the burden of taxes on your family by including a bequest provision in your will or revocable trust specifying a gift be made to the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth.
  • Beneficiary Designation: Beneficiary designations are an easy and affordable way to leave a lasting legacy. Designate the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth as a beneficiary of your retirement plan assets, investment or bank account or your life insurance policy.
  • IRA Rollover: In 2015, Congress enacted a permanent extension of the IRA charitable rollover. As a result, individuals age 70½ or older can make gifts directly from their IRA to a charity.

We respectfully request that you notify us if you plan to include or have included the World Affairs Council in your estate plan.
