INTRODUCING GLOBAL YOUNG LEADERS

Each year, more than 8,000 students and 1,500 teachers are directly impacted by the Global Young Leaders education program. It's the only education initiative in North Texas focused on global competence, with Junior World Affairs Council clubs on 75 local high school campuses (public, private, and charter).

GYL’s levels of membership include students, educators, campuses, and districts. Student, teacher or administrator, you are the perfect fit for one of our international opportunities!

The population of homeless youth in the Dallas Independent School District (DISD) has reached a catastrophic level, with 4,000+ homeless students. Of the homeless youth population, After8toEducate is tackling the most vulnerable population of unsheltered high school students.

Overwhelming research shows that unsheltered students are at a greater risk of falling behind academically, and in turn more likely to drop out of school. In addition, they often face a myriad of social and health problems.
