Our series for young professionals continues with a conversation featuring Council board member and North Texas Regional President for Truist Bank, DeVon Lang. ABOUT THE SPEAKER

DeVon Lang is Regional President for Truist’s North Texas Region where he leads a team serving clients across one of the fastest-growing and most dynamic economies in the country. He is responsible for maintaining a strong regional presence and serving as the “chief integrator,” ensuring clients benefit from the full breadth of Truist’s capabilities. In this role, DeVon drives disciplined growth, deepens client relationships, and brings together partners across Commercial Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, Wealth, and specialized advisory teams to deliver coordinated, holistic solutions. He works closely with leadership across lines of business to align around client priorities, break down silos, and ensure a seamless, consistent experience—connecting clients to the insights, expertise, and capital they need to grow and navigate complexity. DeVon is known for building high-performing, collaborative teams and believes that strong culture and authentic leadership are foundational to long-term success. DeVon has been in this position since April 2023.

He previously served as the Middle Market Banking Leader for North Texas focused on delivering Truist’s universal banking platform to clients throughout North Texas. Prior to that, he served as Managing Director-Energy Corporate Banking in Truist Securities. DeVon joined Truist Securities’ predecessor, BB&T Capital Markets, in 2010 as part of the bank’s national corporate banking expansion effort focused on delivering the firm’s comprehensive suite of capital structure advisory, strategic advisory, financing and risk management. He was also a corporate banker at Comerica Bank, growing diversified corporate relationships in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Alabama Passionate about community, Mr. Lang is on the Boards of the Dallas Regional Chamber and Dallas Stars Owner’s Advisory Council, World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth, Dallas Afterschool, is a member of Leadership Dallas Class of 2024, and serves on the Dallas Citizens Council. Mr. Lang earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana State University and a Master of Business Administration from the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston.
